Fed Ex Field Fun Facts
Originally called Jack Kent Cooke Stadium after the Skins long tine owner when it opened in 1997, it became Fed Ex Field in 1999 when the naming rights were sold. Fed Ex has its own exit of the DC Beltway and will hold 85,000 fans, making it the largest venue in the NFL. A season ticket tradition of a 30 year waiting list has carried on from back in the RFK Stadium days. The stadium has officially be designated a sell out every game dating back to 1965. The first play off game ever was played at Fed Ex in January 2000 and fans hope to have another one in 2014. The most recent improvements were the addition of a Party Deck in 2012.
